As you age, loose a significant amount of weight or after having children, the breast skin loses its elasticity and the volume decreases. The breasts often lose their size, shape and firmness resulting in sagging. To correct this, excess skin must be removed and the breast tissue reshaped. After the breast reduction procedure your breasts will be smaller in size, your areola size will be reduced, the nipple position will be adjusted. You will have more aesthetically pleasing shape to your breasts. If you were experiencing back or neck pain due to your large breast size, this discomfort should be improved.
